Overwatch

Overview:

Overwatch came out in 2016 and has been one of the most popular games ever since. It’s had its ups and downs but it still an amazing game. Overwatch is mainly a multiplayer game with the matches you go into are usually a 6v6 an you either have to capture a point for a certain amount of time or push the payload or defend the payload. There is plot to the game but since it’s not clearly stated in the game I’m not including it.

Gameplay:

Overwatch consist of many Characters and Game modes. But there are 30 + characters so I won’t be discussing their abilities but I will categorize them into there respected role. In the Tank Role there is D.VA, Orisa, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Sigma, Winston, Wrecking Ball, and Zarya. The Damage Role characters are Ashe, Bastion, Doomfist, Echo, Genji, Hanzo, Junkrat, McCree, Mei, Pharah, Reaper, Soldier: 76, Sombra, Symmetra, Torbjorn, Tracer, and Widowmaker. And finally the characters in the Support Role are Ana, Baptiste, Brigitte, Lucio, Mercy, Moira, and Zenyatta. The gamemodes consist of 6v6 Push/Defend the Payload, 6v6 Capture the Objective, 6v6 Team Deathmatch, 6v6 Elimination, 3v3 Elimination, 1v1 Elimination, 6v6 Mystery Heroes, and many more limited time gamemodes. Elimination is first to 3 and each round you must kill the enemy team and once you kill a enemy they can’t respawn unlike other gamemodes. But if you win the round you can’t use the character you used last round. Deathmatch is the 1st team to 25 kills but for solo Deathmatch its 1st to 20 because its a free for all. Mystery Heroes is when you spawn into the game you don’t pick your character but the game does. But every time you die you get a new hero. Other than gamemodes you can actually make your own type of gamemode and it’s really fun. Since there are endless custom gamemodes I can’t tell you all of the custom gamemodes. There are many maps for all the gamemodes, some are specific to certain gamemodes while some are for all gamemodes.

Review:

My overall opinion on Overwatch is that the game is really fun to play with friends and by yourself and it defiantly still earns its title as one of the best games of this decade but the one thing it does lack is the fact that there is no content updates for at least every 3 to 4 months. My final review is 4.5 out of 5.
