General Overview:
For my 1st video game review will be for Bendy and the Ink Machine. Creator, theMeatly, created a puzzle horror game that blew up on steam. It originally was intended to be a one chapter indie game not meant to progress, but because of the popularity of the game it continued to have updates and more storyline to the 1st chapter.
Plot:
You enter the old abandoned Joey Drew Animation Studios and you’ve been sent by Joey himself. You wonder around the studio until you find the Ink Machine, the thing Joey sent you for. Then you must find away to activate it by finding various items. You eventually start it and that’s when literal ink hell breaks loose it brings back the old cartoon character, Bendy the Dancing Demon back to life and chases you down various halls. Right as you are about to reach the exit the floor under you breaks and you are now stuck below the studio trying to find your way out of the studio before Bendy gets you first. This is the 1st chapter of the game and general plot you’ll need to know about the game.

Gameplay:
The game is very dark and has a very creepy atmosphere. Now during the 1st nd the 2nd chapter there isn’t many things that can pop up and scare you. But I will say when Bendy comes and says Hi it’s terrifying as he chases you through the halls and floors. When he appears you get this broken record music starting to play and black ink starts to fill the side of screen. Now Bendy isn’t the only enemy in the game. You also have the Butcher Gang. They are a gang of 3, they all do a medium amount of damage to your character but they aren’t as scary or dangerous as Bendy. There is also Alice, now she actually never attacks you but she’s the main antagonist for 2 chapters and she torments you and makes you get things for her in the 1st chapter you meet her and then she kidnaps your reanimated friend, Boris. There are many things I can go over but this is some of the major things you should know.

My Review:
The game overall is really good, very fun to play, and it makes you want to play the game again. But at the same time there are some bugs where it makes you start from Chapter 1 or it makes you get stuck in one of the hiding places and many other annoying bugs that make you want to put down the game and not play it for 2 days. The cast used for the voice recordings was very well picked and I have no complaints about them, other than there should’ve been more dialogue. The designs of the objects and characters were so unique and I would have never thought of making this, so props to you Meatly. My overall review is a 4.5 out of 5.
Opinions/Reviews from others:
“Bendy and the Ink Machine, an episodic first-person puzzle action survival horror video game that features a mixture of puzzle-solving, environment exploration, and combat to aid the protagonist Henry on his journey through the darkened halls of Joey Drew Studios. The game overall has amazing graphics and visual effects that reminisce on early 18th-century cartoons like Steamboat Willie and other early Mickey Mouse cartoons. With an amazing plotline that leaves players returning again and again, and at $20, it can’t really be beat.”

Objects from Bendy and the Ink Machine that have personal value:
These items were all from friends and family. I actually use the Journal in the image daily to write story ideas down or costume designs. The two FUNKO Pops were gifted to me from my family before I moved to California. I have them on my desk as something to remember back where I used to live.
